Lily Bistline

Hi, I’m Lily! I am currently a master’s student at the University of Pittsburgh in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. In general, I take a very holistic approach to mental health and understand that counseling does and should look different for everyone based on their unique needs. I am very interested in taking a multicultural approach to counseling, meaning that I value being culturally sensitive and competent, and I understand that cultural factors are deeply intertwined with mental health. At this point in my education/ career, I am interested in several counseling modalities, including CBT, existentialism, emotion-focused therapy, and grief and loss counseling.

When I am not in class or counseling, I enjoy reading, crocheting, lifting weights, watching my favorite shows/ movies, and being around dogs! I am very grateful to be a part of the Emerge team!
