Denija DuCasse
I have been employed in the mental health field for the past 8 years. I have experience working in different settings and with many different populations. The bulk of my experience has been in substance abuse counseling; however, I have experience with mental health counseling as well. As an avid advocate for the underserved populations, I have found that people heal best when they are being supported adequately. It has been my mission to ensure that those who need help are able to receive the help.
My theoretical approach to counseling is based on the needs of the client. I am a firm believer of meeting the client where they are by employing techniques of which ever counseling theory best fits. Some of the counseling theories that I use are CBT, DBT, Existentialism, Person Centered, and techniques of mindfulness and meditation.
“It is through the collaborative process of counseling that individuals find true healing.”
